Early Irish & Celtic Studies Master's Scholarship

The Maynooth University Department of Early Irish is offering a Taught Master's Scholarship for the academic year 2020/21. The award will cover the full fees + €18,000 stipend for 1 year of full-time studies. Our Taught MA programme enables students to develop their academic knowledge and research skills. Students take modules in the Old Irish language (at beginners, intermediate or advanced level) along with optional modules in subjects such as Middle Welsh, Palaeography, Textual Criticism and aspects of medieval Irish literary culture. Alongside their individually-tailored course of study, students will research and write a dissertation - our staff can offer world-class supervision in medieval Irish language, literature and cultural history.  MA Scholarship Terms and Conditions 2020 PDF
