A Digital Framework for the Medieval Gaelic World

Wednesday, December 2, 2020 - 11:30

Funded by the British Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Irish Research Council (IRC), this network focusses on the impact of digitisation on research into medieval Ireland and Scotland. Through a series of workshops, the network will forster the discourse and a better understanding of how we currently use digital resources and how improved applications of technology will lead to a more intelligent, innovative use of resources in future research. Digitisation has the potential to open up the resources for Gaelic literature and history to a much wider audience and to transform the nature of research in the field.
Prof David Stifter and Dr Deborah Hayden of the Maynooth University Department of Early Irish have a leading role in the network and will host an online workshop about digitisation of primary material in Maynooth in January 2021.
