Dr Steve Coleman is a lecturer in the Anthropology Department at Maynooth University. His research looks at linguistic Anthropology, Irish language discourse and literature, Verbal art, music and performance, Minority languages and the nation-state, C.S. Peirce's Semeiotic Political Movements, and Ethnographic Approaches to Literature. He will present a paper titled 'Traditional Irish Performance as Media Theory'.
