Majority of teachers report decline in wellbeing due to the Covid-19 pandemic
Maynooth University research has found that seven out of 10 of teachers reported feeling more stress and six out of 10 reported a decline in wellbeing during the first six months of the pandemic. The research also finds teachers favour blended learning and changes to curriculum post pandemic

Maynooth University collaborates with ADAPT SFI Research Centre for AI Driven Digital Content Technology
The Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for AI Driven Digital Content Technology, ADAPT, has been awarded a funding award of €42million to extend its next phase of research over the next six years. Through this new phase finding phase, ADAPT will build on its established leadership in AI driven Digital Content Technology Research.

International Q-mark awarded to MU TEG Irish language exams
Maynooth University is delighted to announce that the Centre for Irish Language has been awarded the ALTE Q-Mark in recognition of the excellence of its Irish language exams, Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge (TEG). Maynooth is the only university in Ireland to receive this prestigious award from ALTE (The Association of Language Testers in Europe). This is the second time the Q-mark has been awarded to TEG.

Maynooth University Post Doctorate researcher Dr. Levke Caesar awarded Publication Prize for young scientist of Leibniz-Kolleg Potsdam 2020
Dr. Levke Kathrin Caesar has been awarded the Publication Prize for young scientists 2020 by the Leibniz-Kolleg Potsdam. Dr Caesar receives the 5,000 Euro prize for her outstanding, socially relevant work on the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC). Her excellent publication in the renowned journal “Nature” has already been cited over 200 times since its publication in 2018.
