Christopher Ridgway is a curator at Castle Howard, Yorkshire, and Adjunct Professor in the CSHIHE, Department of History, Maynooth University. He has lectured and published widely on Castle Howard and country houses. Since 1999 he has been Chair of the Yorkshire Country House Partnership, a collaboration between the University of York and the principal houses in the region. He has been a council member for the Attingham Trust, and the Institute of Historical Research, and he is a board member for the Irish Heritage Trust, and the Burton Constable Foundation. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, and of the Society of Antiquaries.
His publications include, Castle Howard and Brideshead, Fact, Fiction and In-Between (2011); The Morpeth Roll, Ireland Identified in 1841 (2013); and Duty Calls, Castle Howard and the Great War (2014).
