All students in the MA in Digital Humanities and MSc in Spatial eHumanities have to register for the internship module in semester 2. This module will provide students with practical work experience on digital projects in cultural heritage organizations, libraries, and on MU-based digital humanities projects. Students will learn the basics of project management and good project planning through the taught elements of the module. They will work on structured projects that are agreed upon by the module coordinator and the staff liaison at the institution. Projects may range, for example, from writing a scoping document for a specific digital humanities project, to creating a digital exhibition on a specific theme or topic, to writing a best practice whitepaper on a particular technology, digital preservation method, or new digital project idea. Each project will be assigned an MU mentor and will be supervised by a local expert from the project or institution to which the student is attached.
