Unlocking Freedom Through Adult Education “Fostering Capacity Building, Making Connections”

The event was a space for attendees to hear about specific project activities and to critically reflect on inclusive educational practices in Ireland, which intend to support learners with intellectual disabilities in accessing and actively engaging in adult, community and higher education through inclusive learning approaches and supports. Attendees were also invited to collectively explore viable options and platforms for the delivery of continuous professional development opportunities with staff in all sectors of education, extending on the project working group’s activities, which involved the design and delivery of a short CPD course with staff in adult, further and community education, led by course facilitators with diverse learning abilities.

The final European project conference will be held in June 2018 Dublin.
