Ruth has worked with Maynooth University as Student Budgeting Advisor since August 2017. She describes her role as "supporting students to reach their academic goals by providing advice and assistance with financial issues. Every student deserves a positive university experience and stress about money can really impact on their experience."
Before joining Maynooth University, Ruth worked with the Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) for over 10 years. She has an extensive knowledge of budgeting, money management, SUSI, social welfare systems, income maximisation and funding supports for students.
"I am not here to pass judgement on any student or their family, I am here to listen, to help and to try make college affrdable for students."
