Dr. Ciaran McDonough (NUIG) a Visiting Fellow at the Arts and Humanities Institute is giving a lecture on Eugene O'Curry, Laurence Renehan and the Nineteenth Century Manuscript Trade, Monday October 21, 2019, 12 noon. 

Bio: Ciaran McDonough was awarded a PhD in 2017 by NUIG for her thesis on nineteenth-century Irish antiquarian cultures. She has published articles on Irish antiquarianism and the Irish language in the nineteenth century in Studi Irlandesi, Studia Celtica Fennica, and Landscapes. She is the co-editor of the forthcoming collection of essays (with John Cunningham), Hardiman and after: Galway Culture and Society, 1820-2020.
