Congratulations to Michael Cusack, a second year student in Greek and Roman Civilization and Latin, who won first prize in the H.H. Stewart Literary Scholarship in Latin for 2018. According to the statistics from NUI, Michael was the only candidate from Maynooth University to win a first prize. Also congratulations to Darya Vorobyeva who won third prize in Latin. The awards were presented by the Chancellor of the National University of Ireland, Dr Maurice Manning, at a special ceremony on Tuesday 13 November 2018 in the Mansion House. The Maynooth University Department of Ancient Classics congratulates Michael on this outstanding achievement. He is pictured here receiving his award from the Chancellor.
