Kimberly Wright has recently begun a placement with the Assisting Living and Learning (ALL) Institute. The placement will last for 12 weeks coinciding with Semester 2 of the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The placement will contribute towards Kimberly’s postgraduate studies in Global Legal Studies.
Kimberly is 21 years old from Dublin, she recently completed my undergraduate studies in Law and Criminology. I am currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Global Legal Studies at Maynooth University. I chose this course as I was eager to further my studies in law on an International scale and to gain a unique insight into the global and legal system and its influence on National and International policies.
One of my chosen modules was a placement programme, the programme I chose was ALL Institute, a well-established organisation that conducts meaningful research and contributes to society on local, National and International levels. It is commendable to witness not only the outcome of the research but the passion and dedication involved in each and every project undertaken by the members at ALL Institute. During the placement module, I have been tasked to perform a variety of tasks ranging from research on the European Ombudsman’s decision on disability rights, conducting literature reviews and undertaking various administration roles. In addition, I am excited to share the work of co-author and assistant editor for the ALL Institute blog, Ideas In ALL.
