Marian Keigher, Bsoc, CQSW and Registered Family Therapist, is Director of Services at Vita House Family Centre, Roscommon. Marian has over 40 years experience in social work, family therapy and service delivery and development for individuals with intellectual disability. She is a Registered Family Therapist since 1989, and was Chief Executive of Brothers of Charity, Roscommon region from 1999 to December 2010 where she oversaw transformation within the organisation, from institutionalised services to individualised services.
Marian’s current role involves the strategic development of Vita House Family Centre through working in partnership with all stakeholders, with the emphasis on providing the highest quality counselling and educational programmes to the Roscommon community and environs.
Marian’s other interests include Social Housing, and she has been the Director of Roscara Social Housing for 20 years, overseeing the development of over 40 housing units for people with intellectual disabilities. She was also recently appointed a member of the board of Management of Roscommon CBS, by the Edmund Rice Schools trust.
